Tatiana Bebchuk

Klarman Postdoctoral Fellow

Overview

Tatiana Bebchuk is a Klarman postdoctoral research fellow, working at the intersection of (paleo)climatology, dendrochronology and archaeology. She uses living, archaeological and relict wood to reconstruct past climate variability and better understand impacts of past and recent climate changes on ecosystems and societies. Her current research focuses on rapid climate changes that occurred around 4,200 years ago and are believed to have contributed to a decline of several ancient civilizations in the Levant and Central Asia.

Her faculty host is Sturt Manning, Distinguished Professor of Arts and Sciences in Classics.
