Emily Kane

M.A. Student in Archaeology

Overview

Emily comes to Cornell from Rutgers University, where she majored in Anthropology and minored in archaeology, art history, and psychology. Her research interests include North American archaeology and American Indian and Indigenous Studies. Emily is also interested in human osteology, the focus of her senior thesis. Outside the classroom, Emily held an internship with the Middlesex County Division of Historic Sites and History Services, where she developed an interest in heritage regulations. She also interned with the New Jersey State Museum Department of Anthropology and Ethnography and volunteered in the Rutgers Anthropology Laboratory of Micro Archaeology. Emily has held a training position with the Army Corps of Engineers in San Francisco, where she worked on NAGPRA compliance.
