Overview
Madeleine received her BA in Anthropology with minors in Classics and Museum Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She has done fieldwork at the Paleolithic site of Cova Gran, and assisted in research and curation at the Texas Archaeological Research Laboratory and the Jackson School Vertebrate Paleontology Collections. Her current research focuses on the intersection between mortuary practice and animal-human interactions in the Neolithic Near East, with a particular focus on the importance of the skull.
