Overview
Parker earned his BA in history from Carleton College. His primary research interests are the study of settlements on the edge of the Greek-speaking world in Asia and interactions with Iranian and other nomadic peoples in Central Asia in classical and late antiquity. He has worked on excavations in Greece, Spain, and most recently Antiochia ad Cragum in southern Turkey, and has received technical training from Leiden University and the University of Oxford.
